YTC Memories

Christmas cheer at YTC driffield

We're a big fan of Christmas here at YTC. We like to bring the spirit and fun of Christmas to all our stores.

This is a photo of Annie in Drif Store in 1987, clearly having too much fun. Someone brought out the wine and things proceeded to get a little bit out of hand.

You can see the then-manager Caroline in the back in the middle of a performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The fun didn't stop there. Jane and Christy (pictured below) joined in on the performance. It soon got a bit too rowdy and the bobbies showed up and sent everybody home.

We haven't had a Christmas that wild since, but we do still like to have a good time during the holiday season.

All holidays, really, are cherished by the YTC team. We are known for our spectacular Halloween display, for example. Any time of year that there are festivities going on, you can count on Yorkshire Trading to help out in providing what you need to have a good time.

So stop by our store, have a laugh, and find everything you need for a great time.

What We Love About Driffield:

Great Driffield is a delightful, scenic market town which is often referred to as the capital of the Wolds. The town has a rich history of settlement and agriculture ranging all the way back to the Neolithic era. In modern times Driffield’s inland waterways became a crucial passage between the wolds and the city of Hull. Driffield was also used as a station by the RAF to support the 1940’s war effort. We are thrilled to be a part of this towns past and future.
