Mealworms are the larvae of the Yellow Mealworm Beetle and are fed on bran or milled cereals. They are both a clean food and are exceptionally high in protein at 48% and fat at 40%. They are dried to retain goodness and are a tasty treat for a variety of wild birds including Robins, Blackbirds and Thrushes.
