This hot and cold gel compress is great for treating a wide range of soft tissue injuries, it's reusable and offers a soothing hot and cold relief for back pain, sports injuries, headaches and muscle complaints. It's soft and flexible and this luxurious pack moulds to the problem area and lasts much longer and is more effective then a standard reusable pack.
You use the pack cold to reduce swelling and hot for relief from muscular pain. Using the cold gel compass is ideal to use for reducing swelling, toothache, temporary relief of headache and reducing fevers. The hot application is ideal for temporary relief of aches and pains.
Application - Cold
- Store in the freezer so that the pack is ready to use in case of injury
- Approximately 1 hour is required to freeze gel
Application - Hot
Microwavable: Place gel pack into microwave for approximately 30 seconds, ( if the gel pack is at room temperature or 1 minute (if the gel pack is frozen) on high power.
After this time, check that the correct temperature has been reached , if not further exposure should be in 10 second bursts times are based on a 600W microwave. Adjust heating times accordingly to suit the power of your microwave.
Hot water
Bring water to boil, remove from heat and immerse the gel pack for approximately 4-10 minutes. After 4 minutes check every 1 minute to see if the correct temperatures has been reached.
