The formula works when the slug is attracted to the bait pallet and once it's consumed, they will then crawl into the ground or a secluded location to die. It leaves no unsightly trace of slime secretion and no necessity to collect corpses. The pellets are rain resistant and swell up once damp to make them even more attractive to the slugs. The pellets are biodegradable and deliver added nutrients to the plants as they convert into iron and phosphate in the soil.
